Back to Patrol

Wow. Working Patrol for the first time in over a year. It's nice to see not much changes. Two days in and I've already had babies momma drama.

It's crazy to think that I will be going to work with little or no sleep starting in about 5 and a half weeks. I told our OBGYN that I thought the little guy was going to be late. She looked at me and said, "he's not going to be late because I'm evicting him on time". So thats good to know.

My last day in Skid Row

After almost a year I am finally getting out of Skid Row. It's unbelievable how human beings can become so disgusting. I wouldn't have expected anything less of my last night. We arrest a female who happend to be an alumni. Before the strip search she tells us that she swalled an "8 Ball" amount of crack..proceed to the strip search and when she bends over to cough another bag falls to the ground from her crack. She looks at us and says "Oh that crack, when you asked me if I had anymore I didn't think you were talking about that bag as well."

7 hours later after babysitting her at USCMC we finally get home. Don't worry about her, she's alive and doing well, all being paid for by you and me.

As a parting shot to this wonderful area of downtown here is a photo of San Julian north of 6th.

This was taken at about 30 weeks. That was almost 4 weeks ago already! Time flies thats for sure.

The Beginning

I figured I would give this a try. With work and the little guy due soon hopefully I can update this once in a while. Tomorrow will be my last day working in Skid Row! No more nasty transients! Of course I go back to patrol, something I haven't done in about a year so that is going to be interesting to say the least. Hopefully I will have some great stories to share.
